1. What kind of design services do you offer?

All of the designs you see in the shop come from my original illustrations inspired by my personal memories and vintage motifs. Beyond the designs you see here,I offer custom design and patternmaking to web boutiques, brick and mortar shops and individuals. There are two ways you can to get custom design from Love Plus One. You can send me your idea for a pattern or an original piece of artwork (yours or a childs) and I will turn it into a pattern for a garment of your choice. Or if you are a boutique, we can brainstorm ideas together and I can design a whole line of originals for your shop at a price that you can afford!

For boutiques, this is a great alternative to traditional wholesale because when you get your own designs from Love Plus One, you are not competing with other shops that carry my line. 2. Do you offer any discounts?

You automatically get free shipping on retail orders of $85 or more. I treat my return customers especially special~Every repeat customer earns 15% off each purchase they make after their initial purchase. So, every order after the first, gets 15% off!! Thats right, EVERY order! I remember you! and I will refund you 15% through pay pal after you check out. So please come back!

3. How do I care for hand-embroidered, hand-dyed garments?

Wash the garment separately before wearing. After this initial hand wash, machine wash cold/warm with like colors and dry low. I always recommend hand washing and line drying for delicate, unique pieces such as these. The color may change as you wash and wear, this adds character and lends a vintage look to your garment. In regards to the embroidery, I promise "heirloom quality" which means it will last the life of the garment and then some. They are intended to be passed down, if for some reason the embroidery comes undone, you may send the garment back to me and I will either fix it or make you a new one!

4. How do you come up with the colors?

I like to mix colors to get unique, one- of- a kind garments everytime. Keep in mind, the color you see is not always the color you get. There is a bit of variation since these are hand dyed garments. I try and keep colors in the same range so you are not going to get a dramatically different color then what you ordered.

5. Why are there color variations?

The colors are made by mixing dyes to get unique blends every time. The color is part of what makes each garment one-of-a-kind. The colors are intended to look distressed and vintage. The gentle irregularities and slight color variations are characteristic and designed to enhance the garment.

6. Where do the blank garments come from?

I use American Apparel for my long sleeve lap t’s and Dharma Trading Company for everything else. AA is sweatshop free made in the USA, so you can feel confident that you are supporting a healthy workplace. As for Dharma, their social responsibility scorecard goes like this: "we start from the premise that the best way to help those in need is to provide income producing work and let them sort out the rest. We are actively involved in organizing, financing and supporting sewing cooperatives in Bolivia, Indonesia and Brazil. The output from these co-ops can be seen in the catalog selling at reduced margins to provide more work." I use these brands because of the high quality of the garment and the men, women and children that they support, myself included!

8. Do you accept international orders?

Are you kidding? I love going abroad!! Just email me before you place your order so I can calculate shipping.

9. How long will it take to get here?

Orders placed in the U.S. of A should take 2-3 weeks to fill depending on my stock availability and how generally swamped I am. Mostly it will be less time than this. Keep in mind I am not your babies r’ us!! These garments are hand-embroidered and hand-dyed WHEN you place the order and no two are alike. Please be patient, I’m working on it! And I care about EVERY order that is placed.

10. Do you have rush delivery?

It depends on the situation. If you have a specific event that you need the garment for, and you give me AT LEAST a weeks notice, I can usually oblige. Let me know what you need and I will do my best to give it to you.

11. What are your shipping procedures?

There is free shipping on orders of $85 or more.
I ship via USPS Priority mail. I will ship once a week (usually a week from the date of purchase) unless you need me to ship by a specific date for an event. I cannot promise to ship by a requested date, but I will always do my best to try! Also please see my return policy.

REFUND POLICY

100% Refund will be granted up to thirty days from the date purchased as long as the garment is in the original condition. Returned merchandise subject to all shipping fees.

Love Plus One guarantees the embroidery work 100% if for any reason there is a problem with the stitch work, I will fix the damaged stitches free of charge, or refund your purchase. Customers and wholesale clients, please be advised to READ the care tag attached to the garment before laundering.

Wholesale clients- Love Plus One is not responsible for damage to the garment due to improper use or care by the customer. The retail establishment takes full responsibility for the garments at the time of purchase form Love Plus One. Please make your customer aware of the care label to avoid any damage to the garment. The retail establishment will incur all losses in the case of customer misuse. The only time Love Plus One is responsible for damaged garments is if there is a consistent problem with the “blanks” themselves, in which case the retailer will have to wait to be refunded until Love Plus One is refunded by its wholesaler.

Cancellations must be made no later than 5 days from purchase date, if the order has been processed and is in the process of completion a 25% restock fee is charged for cancelled orders.

I take a great deal of pride in my work and your satisfaction with it, so if you are unhappy, remember I am unhappy too!!!
